ENTERPRISE BOOT CO.'S PICNIC.
Tho annual picnic of the Enterprise Boot ' Co. was held recently. Motor buses and cars conveyed about 150 persons to Waikuku beach. At good programmo of sports was provided under tho supervision of Mr S. Pnnnell. Winners of the principal events were:—Enterprise handicap: D. Broad 1, H. Roberts 2, R. Taylor 3. Singlo ladies' race: Miss Mason 1, Miss Yager 2. Married Indies' race: Mrs Ewings 1, Mrs Green 2. ■Siamese twins race: H. Goodland and E. Goodland 1. Married men's race: J. Temple 1, E. Sharp 2. Single men's raco: Nlgg. Brown 1. R. Teatman 2. Lady's lottery: Miss Wilson. Mn Fenn, Mrs Doherty, Miss Wakefield. The prizes were presented by Mrs J. G. Tagcr, after which Mr Temple, on behalf of the employees, 'made a presentation to Mr J. G. Yager, who suitably responded.
