N.Z. PRODUCE IN ENGLAND. A. AND P. ASSOCIATION TO ENQUIRE. An article on "Depression in England," which appeared in The Press on December 23rd last, and which has been re-printed in pamphlet form, was referred to by Mr J. D. Hall, at yesterday's meeting of the General Committee of tho Canterbury A. and P. Association.

Mr Hall said that the article, which was written by Mr £. Bold, land purchase officer of the Public Works Department, drew a dark picture of tbe economic and financial position in England, and the Association should appoint a small committee to decide if any action should be taken in the way of enquiring into the disposal in England, of New Zealand produce. Dr. E. Lcvinge, who attended the meeting, spoke briefly on the question. New Zealand butter, he said, was going to Denmark, and thence to England as Danish butter. That was being done in other instances also. What was required in England was a special depot for New Zealand produce. New Zealand lamb was being lost sight of as soon as it reached England, and it waß almost impossible to secure Dominion meat.

A committee, consisting of Messrs J. 0. Coop, E. Hay, J. D. Hall, B. E. Alexander, and Dr. Levinge was appointed to enquire into the matter. BANK SHARES. . . (BT ClBLt-P&ESS 4SSOCUTIO3 COPTBJOBT.)
