KAHIKA DELAYED.
TROUBLE WITH CREW. (TMBt ISSOCIAIIOK TXUOBAK.} DUNEDIN, February 9. The steamer Kahika has been hekl up since Tuesday night curing to a disputo with the crew over the question of rating. The men have refused to agree to an able teaman being engaged to fill an ordinary seaman's vacancy. A man was engaged to-day as an ordinary seaman and the crow V.-H3 satisfied with the exception of ono of tho firemen, who refused to sail with tlio now hand.
The fireman was signed off tho articles this evening and an endeavour is now being made to fill the vacancy, but there is little likelihood of the Kahika sailing to-night for Napier and G is borne.
