EGGS. With increased supplies prices are lower and trade good. Present quotations are:— Danish, 10s to 20s per long 100; English and Dutch, 17a fld to 18s per long 100; Belgian, 15k (id to 16m per long 100; Argentine, and Polish, 12s to 13s 6d por long 100; Egyptian, 8s 9d to 9s 3d por long 100.

HEMP. The ninnita market opens steady, and "J" grade February-April shipments sold at £47. There was a dcclino during the week, tho value at the closo being £45 10s. The sisnl market Is steady, but only small business is doing. Valuo Tanganyika No. 1, February-April shipments, £4O 10s. The New Zealand market is quiet. Nominal values nre Highpoints, February-April shipment £36, fair £35, common £34. , TALLOW.

Tho market Is quiet, with a tendency to weaken. Prices are the same as last quotation except (or: Mutton, dark to dull, 34s 6d to 35s 6d per ewt; beef, dark to dull, 34s to 34s 6d per cwt; mixed, dark to dull, 83s 6d to 348 6d per cwt; gut, etc., 32s to 33s 6d per cwt. OATS. There is n plentiful supply of English, best whito seed making 32s to 85s, and black 30s to 335. Tho imported market is quiet, but steady. Chilean afloat sold up to 20s 6d and Pinto 20s Dd. The nominal valuo of New Zealand "A" grade Gortons, JanuaryFebruary shipments, is 295. TEAS. Maple: Stocks in Great Britain aro extremely small, henco some enquiry for New Zealand and Tasmanian early shipments. Valuo January-February shipments New Zealand 82:, Tasmanian 89s. Blues'. Rather moro interest is shown, and "A" grade Tasmanian oarly shipments sold at £2O. Dealers generally aro holding hack in view of Inferior quality shipped during the last two years from New Zealand and Tasmania. BEANB.

The market is quiet. English winter firmly held at 45s to 465. COCKSFOOT. The market is firm. Stocks in Donmark nre reported to be small. Shippers aro offering mixed 1925 and 1926 seed at 73a for March-April shipments.
