WOMEN'S DEPUTATION.
AUDIENCE WITH PREMIER REFUSED. (BT CABL»— PBESS ASSOCIATION— COFniOHT.) (AVSTBALIAK AMD K.S. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) BRISBANE, February 8. Tho Trades Hall Disputes Committee decided to ask tho premier (the Hon. W. N. Gillies) to receive a deputation from a women workers' organisation in connexion with tho granting of idief to distressed buildingtrade workers and thoir families. The Premier declined to meet the deputation, but agreed to meet tho Disputes Committee. Tho committee, however, declined the Premier's invitation, and carried a resolution calling ou tho women workers' organisation to insist on interviewing the Premier, and to pres-int themselves in a body at the Promler's office.
