FRUITERERS' ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of the Christchurch District Fruiterers' Association was held in tho Veteran Association Rooms, Worcester street, on Monday evening. The president, Mr E Eldridge, presided over a good attendance. Tho secretary presented a report on the year's work, and this, together with tho balance-sheet, was fully discussed, aiid several suggestions were made dealing with the Association's activities for the coming year. The report showed tho Association to be in a sound financial position. The election of officers for tho ensuing year resulted in Mr E. T. Eldridge being elected president, Mr A. Borrow vi.e-president, Mr C. Williams-Wood secretary, and Mr A. J. Stansell treasurer; a strong committee to carry on tho work of the Association was also elected. Tho matter of a trade picnic was fully discussed, and it was decided that cue be arranged. The meeting then closed with votes of thanks to tho retiring officers and committee.
