CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUB

The annual report of the Christchurch Ladies' Golf Club states: The appended statement of receipts and expenditure for the year, shows a credit balance of £Ol 4s 3d, and the buoyant state of the club's finance ir particularly gratifying in view of th? fact that the furnishing of the elul.'s rooms in the new golf house will entail considerable expense. During the seasou, eighteen new members were elected, and tin* active membership now stands at 150, of which 16 are non-resident active members. There are also 54 honorary members, 23 absentee members, and C schoolgirl associates. This year the matches for the club championship and junior challenge cup were not begun until August 16th, and were completed within a fortnight—an alteration which met with general approval.
