Tho New Zealand Shipping Company adrisen that tho Ituapehu left .Southampton on Friday for New Zealand. Sho is expected to arriro at Wellington on March 15tli to land her passengers, and will later proceed to Port Chalmers, Lyttolton, and New Plymouth to discharge Homo cargo. From present indications this season should ico a record established for the number of sheep arriving at Lytteltou from North Island ports and from ports in the north of the South Island. For tho past week vessels havo been urrivlng nt the rato of one and two a day with sheep, Ycstorday the Whangapo landed 2000 from Hick's Bay, and returned for n further load. Tho threo vessels due today all have sheep for discharge, nnd three more sheep boats are duo to-morrow. Othors arc duo later in tho week, Including' the Waipiata, with 4000. Most of tho steamers will make more than one trip. 'Borne of them will be carrying nothing but sheep for the next six weeks.

TRANS-PACIFIC SERVICE. The Waiotapu, from Vancouver 10., San trancisco, was due at New Plymouth during the week-end and proceeds thence to Lyttelton, Duncdin, and Melbourne. The Hauraki left. San Francisco on January 23th, for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Sho is duo at Auckland on February 17th. The W.uhemo was expected to loavo San Francisco yesterday for Pago Pago, Apia,' Napier, Lytlelton, Duncdin, New Plymouth and Wellington. Tho Waitemata left Wcstport on January 12th for Vancouver direct. She loads at Pacific Coast ports during February for Auckland. Melbourne, and Sydney. Sha is due at Vancouver to-day. The Wairuna was due to leave Newcastle yesterday for Fiji and Vancouver.
