The Progress should be here to-morrow from the sonth. She takes in cargo for Wellington. New Plymouth, and Waikato.

The Cygnet is due back tonight from Kaikoura and Wellington, and i» to sail tomorrow night on the return trip. The Kamona is due to-morrow from Napier v.i;h sheep, and returns to that port for a further load.

Tho Kamo lands sheep here tomorrow from (Gisborne. and then returns for a further load for Lyttelton. Tho Wingatui is expected tomorrow from Auckland and Wellington with general cargo and sheep. She proceeds to Dunedin. The' Totara is due on Friday from New PJymouth and Wellington. She loadi for those ports'and sails in the afternoon. The Waiotapu should be hero to-morrow from New Plymouth with San Francisco cargo for discharge. She should get away on Thursday for Dunedin and Melbourne.

The Ulimaroa left Sydney at noon .on Friday for Wellington. She is due there this morning, and will sail again on the return trip on Friday next. A smash ended the joyride of two men on Te Aute road on Saturday evening, states a Press Association message from Hastings. One mau was badly injured and the ofiler decamped. The name of tho injured man is believed to be May, hut the missing man's name is unknown. The car nas a three-seater belonging to Mr A. Irwin, of Napier, and was alleged to have been taken from a parkins place in "Napier. T-tvo motorists arrived on the scene in time to see the mis?ing man departing in haste, leaving his injure.! accomplice behind. Tliev brought May into Hastings, whence he was taken to the Napier Hospital where he is now in a serious state and unahle to give an account of tho accident. The car was badly wrecked.
