The Cygnet is due back tonight from Kaikoura and Wellington, and i» to sail tomorrow night on the return trip. The Kamona is due to-morrow from Napier v.i;h sheep, and returns to that port for a further load.

Tho Kamo lands sheep here tomorrow from (Gisborne. and then returns for a further load for Lyttelton. Tho Wingatui is expected tomorrow from Auckland and Wellington with general cargo and sheep. She proceeds to Dunedin. The' Totara is due on Friday from New PJymouth and Wellington. She loadi for those ports'and sails in the afternoon. A smash ended the joyride of two men on Te Aute road on Saturday evening, states a Press Association message from Hastings. One mau was badly injured and the ofiler decamped.
