MERRETT TRIAL.
CROWN CASE CONCLUDED. (BT CABLE—PRLS3 ASSOCIATION— COPTBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND U.S. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received February 6th, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 5. In the Mcrrett murder trial the Crown's case was concluded after evidence had been taken relating to Mrs Mcrrett's banking account. The heating was adjourned till Monday, the Judge requesting tho jury not to discuss tho case, becauso they had only heard one side. [John Donald Merrett, aged 15), was arrested in December on charges of murdering his mother, Mrs Bertha Merrett, and forging her name to cheques. The Merretts were formerly New Zealand residents.]
