UPPER MURRAY SWEPT. (BT CABLE—rP.FSS ASSOCIATION-COPTRIGnT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND H.I CABLE ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, February 5. A bush fire swept the upper Alurrav twenty-five miles from.Corryoiiß, and, fanned by a hot wind, ravaged miles of country, cousins.enormous damage. BLAZE NEAR BEECHWORTH. MELBOURNE, February 5. A change of wind fanned the bush fires near Beeehworth into fresh activity. The hills presented an mve-inspiring spectacle. From all points of the compass dense black smoke was blown over the town. The position was slightly relieved by tho outbreak at the township woolshea being controlled, ns from this dircctibn great danger was feared.
