PRISONER'S SUICIDE.
HANGED HIMSELF IN CELL. Advice was received by the police yesterday that a man named Erie John Barlow, aged 23, had hanged himself at the P&parua Prison yesterday. Barlow, who was serving a term of imprisonment, tore a blankot into strips, and attaching one of the strips to a beam in his cell, committed suicide by hanging. At twelve o'clock a warder saw Barlow, and at that time ho seemed to be all right, but on returning at one o'clock he found tho man hanging. He was Immediately cut down, but he had evidently been dead some time. An inquest will be opened to day.
