The .\>w Brighton Trnltinj; Club, before conferring with the Canterbury jockey Club regarding the Royal Race Meeting, had decided to hl-Is the Metropolitan Trotting Club and the Canterbury Park Trotting Club to appoint three members to net as stewards,, together with the New Brighton Club's stewards, making the event n combined fixture. This arrangement lias now been con firhied. After the conference Mr K. 11. James said that the committee of the club desired that tho Roy-fl Reception Committee should have the honour of receiving the guests at the trotting course, and this proposal will bo made as soon as it, is ascertained that .the Royal visitors will attend the meeting. Tho committee of tho Canterbury Jockey Club n'ill also be invited as guests of tho New Brighton Club. Mr \V. E. Dudley has telegraphed to Mr J. Hislon, who is using bis best endeavours to nave the trotting meeting included in tho Royal visit programme, nnd hopes to receive nn early reply,.
