ALLEGED WIFE DESERTION.
Joseph Christopher Mooney, who was arrested on Friday afternoon at Tcmuka, by Constable Southworth, appeared on Saturday morning at the Temuka Magistrate's Court, beforo Mr F. W. Evans, J.P., to answer a charge of failing to comply with the terms of an order to support his wife, Ivy Mooney, nnd his three children, made at Napier on March 6th last. Tho arrears to December amounted to £IOB and Sergeant Dwnn applied for a remand for accused to appear at Nnpier on the S»th inst. The remand was granted accordingly.
