SHARK SCARE.
BATHERS ALARMED AT NEW BRIGHTON.
Four men were bathing in fairly deep water at New Brighton yesterday afternoon, when one of them noticed a swirl in the water, and a dark object making for the group. He immediately shouted that there was a shark coming, and the men beat a hasty retreat to the beach, where a few exceedingly excited peoplo had gathered. This is by no means the first shark seen this season at the beach, and several people say that they have seen sharks swimming outside the breakers.
