DUKE'S VISIT TO SYDNEY.

SUGGESTED "STRONG POSTS*" (raojt oua own cobresponmht.) SYDNEY, January 27. Suburban aldermen are a-twitter over the visit of tho Duke and Duchess qf York. A suggestion that tho suburban Councils should form "strong posts'* along the route to bo followed by the Itoyul couplo has met with a mixed reception. Tho committee in chargo of tho arrangements had suggested that residents should gather at these "strong posts," wave flags, sing songs, and generally brighten up the Jong wait for tho arrival of the Duko nncl Duchess on their Royal progress. One irate alderman said it was merely an attempt to get people together to amuse the aristocracy. Some of the Councils feel that if these "strong posts" of adults aro formed, they will no stealing the school children's thunder. Otfler Councils have decided to ask the local community service clubs to take the job on. It looks at the moment as though the suggested "strong posts" are not going to be altogether an unqualified success.
