MONICA PARK CARNIVAL.
TUG-OF-WAR AND BABY SHOW.
A feature of the programme at the Monica Park Sports Carnival thti afternoon will,he the baby ehow. for which generous prlfea are offered. The ihbw will be held at 8 p.m., and there are three separate clauses for boys and glrle, *nd one for twin babies, with special prizes added for the mothers of the placed entries. The chief attraction in the evening'a programme will be the challenge tug-of-war between the New Zealand champions, Enfield, and a team from Woolston Tanneries, best two out of three pulls. Numerouu other events, comprising cycling and running, will be held, and the side-shows will be in full swing.
