S.I. MOTOR UNION.
The Executive Committee of the South .Island Motor Union met last evening. Prenent: Messrs W. h. Minson (in the chair), V. W. Johnstone, W. R. Carey, H. 0. Harley, J. S. Hawke's, E. Eccleston, and P. R. Herman (socretary). ~.„,,, A letter was received from the Minister for Internal Affairs with regard to the amendment of the Lights and Vehicles Act passed last seiislon In connexion with tho parking ot unlighted motor vehicles in parking places. The Minister stated that tho regulations under tho Motor Vehicles Act have been draftee 1 ! providing, among other things, for the plucing of unlighted motor vehicles in property lighted parking places, but for varlous reasons it has not been possible to have those regulations itsuod. It is hoped, howevii/, thst it will bo possible to do so at an early date. Tho letter was received with tlie hopo that tho regulations would bo wide onougli to glvo general satisfaction. The Ashburton A.A. wrote in regard to an enquiry suggesting that a suitable spot for a camijlng ground for motorists would be tho Entrance to the Ashburton golf links on the south sido of the Ashburton traffic bridge.
