ATHLETIC MEETING.
(SPECIAL TO THE P8855.) GREYMOUTH, February 3. A sports meeting tinder the auspices of the West Coast Athletic Association was -held at Victoria Park this evening, before n fair attendance. The various events were keenly contested, and tome close finishes wcro witnessed. A feature of tho meeting was tho attractivo performances of sonic of the maiden runners. Results:— 75vds Handicap—First heat: Mcado (3yds) 1, B. Brown (oyds) 2, McEnaney (7yds) 3. Second heat: Jones (9yd<) 1, Parkinson (9yds) 2, Negri (syds) 8. Final: B. Brown 1, Jones 2, Negri 3. Fourteen competed. 120 yds—M. Jameson (scr) 1, McEnaney (Byds) 2. Second heal: Lamont (scr) 1. Meado (llvds) 2, H. W. Brown (3yds) and NVgri (7vds) dead heat 3. Final: McEnaney i, M. Jamieson 2, H. W. Brown 3. Fourteen competed.
