WASHINGTON, February 2.
Dans to Bend permanent United States diplomatic representatives to the Irish Freo State and Canada have pro* gresscd to the extent that the State Department's request for appropriations for the purpose is now before the Budget Bureau. The Department did not dcuy the London reports. It asked the Dublin Government whether Mr Frederick Sterling, Counsellor of tho Amoikau Embassy in London, would be tweeptablo as a United States Minister.
It is understood that a similar proposal was made to Ottawa in regard to a representative in Canada.
