Shortly after eight o'dotk yesterday moruing tlie City Fire Brigade receired a t-all to 3*l Hereford street, Limvuud, where a detached wash-house on tho premises occupied by -Mr James bliuo klctun «a.sou tire. The wushhouse, which was destroyed. v.a> iiisiirjd in the State ollicc for iJi'O. Later in the ufternuoi; the biiua<.ii-' received anotiier call to Waltham road, where a tramway tar boiler had caught fire. There was no damage done.
