HIS MAJESTY'S PICTURES, ASHBURTON.
At His Majesty's Theatre, Ashburton, tonight, the awe-inspiring and magnificent Metro-Goldwyn picture, "The White Desert," will be shown fcr the last time. To-morrow night only, a Universal-Jewel production, featuring Matt Moore and Editb Roberts, will be shown This mvstery picture, entitled "The Mystery ■ Club," was adapted from "Crimes of the Armchair Club," a novel by Arthur Somers Roche, and was directed by tho screen's mystery tale-director, Herbert Blacbe It shows how a seemingly unfathomable mystery of one of the' deepest crimes in the records of crime fiction is solved. An all-star cast includes Mildied Harris, Charles Lane, Warner Oland, Henry Hebert, Charle? Puffy, Alphonse Martelli. Finch Smiles. Earl Metcalfe, Nat Carr, Jed Prouty, Alfred Allen, Sidney Bracey, and Monte Montague. As supports, an Intfrnational News and a two-reel comedy, "Kewlvweds Quarantined," will be screened fin Thursday and Friday nights a picture entitled "Beverly of Graustark" will be shown.
