PARIS, January 14. • It is reported that a big. combine of match-making companies, including ftn Affiericah- group, is submittinn; to the Government a sOheme to grant them a rdOnopoly, the largest part of tho profit from the sales in France going to the 6tat©< and 10 per cent, to Social works, but- only part of the profits from- sales in -the colonies and foreign countries to go to the State. It -is believed that the combine contemplates making the manufacture of matches a big French industry, and to export-bit-a largo s&ftle ■-.-
