STOCK AGENT'S DEATH.
VERDICT OF SUICIDE. At five O'clock on Saturday afternoon the body of a well-known stock agent tiamed Sidney Edward Nicholas, 33 years of age, and who had been employed by Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd.,. of Temuka, was found on Tar? rant road, Temuka. A double-barrelled shot-gun was claßped between his hands with the stock resting against the hear wheel of his motor-car. • Nicholas borrowed the' shot-gun earlier in the afternoon from a neighbour, saying that he.wished to shoot nates. The inquest was held at the.Temuka Courthouse yesterday afternoon, before the- Coroner, Mr 0;: i Orr-Walker, who brought iu a verdict that Nicholas died otr January 15th as a result of a gunshot wound in the head, which was self-inflicted While he was in a de» pressed state of iniud.
