New South Wales swimming championships results are:— 100 yds Backstroke—Saito (Japan) 1, Camptell 2, Kirkland 3. Won by two yards. Time, lmin 13sec. 220 Yarda—Takaishi 1, Charlton 2, Moore 3. Won by eight yards. Time, 2min 17eec. High-diving Championship—Bassass 1, Tight 2, Coylo 3. 220 Yards Breaststroke Championship— Bayldon 1, O'Connor 2, McCure 3. Won by two yards. Time, 3min 15 4-ssec. Takaishi won impressively, showing that ho was in a class above Charlton over the 220 yards. The winner's time was 6 4-ssec faster than tho Australian record, and only 1 2-sseo outside the world's record. WELLINGTON. (PBtSS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAH.) WELLINGTON, January IS. Pour Centre championships were swum at To Aro Baths to-day. Results: — 100yds.—N. Batchelor 1, O. Claridge 2, W. Cameron 3. Time 61 2-ssec. Because of a breakaway at the start the race is to be re-swum, on Slonday evening. 100 yds Ladies' Championship.—A, Imandt 1, J. Batchelor 2, Mrs Scales 3. Time 81 l-ssec. 220 yds Breaststroke Championship.—A. Claridge 1, L. Biddell 2, R. Humphrey 3. Time, 3min 18 2-ssec. 440 yds Championship.—O. Rix-Trott 1, N. Batchelor 2. Time smin 50 2-ssec. The Wellington record has been lowered by 1 3-ssec.
