MISSION IN AUCKLAND. A FINANCIAL STATEMENT. <rnr.sS ASSOCIATION TELT.'JBAM.) AUCKLAND. September JO. The financial result of-tho Oipsy Smith .Mission was announced to-day. A meeting of representatives of the Associated Free Church treasurers reported that all moneys received from collections, subscriptions, thank offerings, and lecture proceeds, had passed through their hands, and that the cross total was £IISS for tho "hole mission and lecture. Of this amount, Gipsy Smith had been handed to use, according to Ins judgment, two sums, £1.50 from tho lecture and £Mr from thank offerings. Mr and Mrs \oung had boon handed £75 from tie lecture, and £73 from thank offering*. The total ordinary expenditure, apart from these allotments, was £ ; V.' 18s 7d. This included rents, advertising and other items. No workers were pair.. The debit balance, of £9O 13s 7d wouk be mot by tho guarantors. _ Gratifying reports coucermng tue moral and spiritual benefits resulting from the mission were received. ine following resolution was then passed unanimously: "That this meeting gives thanks to God for the a.uspicious beginning in Auckland of the Gipsy Smitli campaign in New Zealand, it recognises the skill bom of longhand unique experience with which Uipsj Smith handles large crowds, and records its sense of deep effect upon many lives which his message must have ha/1.
