BRITISH BY-ELECTION. (BT CABLE—FREES ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, September 19. Owing to Mr Donald Howard's succession to tho Strathcona Barony and his consequent elevation to the House of Lords, a by-election was held in North Cumberland. It resulted: Captain Fergus Graham (Con.) 8867 Mr Holt (Lib.) 6871 Mr Mclntyre (Lab.) 2793 Mr Donald Howard won the seat at the 1921 election with a majority of 376-5.
