TO THE EDITOK 0 , TM rKESS _ Sir,—The following may bo of interest to you in re the above. Thirteen minutes from, the Square to Ten,,™" n iS (•° apply t0 n " tri f' s B '»*V ana slack. Cars are so often dragging around our streets, devoid of anv business ,ke hustle, as though in a constant state ot dozing, that the whole affair wants a shako to see if it is really awake at all. Eleven minutes should take any car to Tennvson street surely. Any easy-going cvclist can do it in that time, and With* ears capable of twenty-three to twenty-fire miles per hour surelv thev can do it, too. ' '
lho points that occur to mo are these. Accelerated trams would provide a few more car trins per dav and the rolling stock is not too plentiful. Jf moro trips per day are not desired, let tho conductors utiliso the extra time at termini with a duster givinc the seats a dash over alter each triptrailers especially. By comparison with a great many other centres 7 , in mv experience, our cars, the finest in* construction, are the dirtiest, besides being the slowest.—Yours, etc.,
