DUNEDIN TRAGEDIES. (FREES AS*OCUTION TZUGBtU.) DUNEDIN, June 21, Au inquest concerning the death of. Leonard Philp, who was burned in a fire ia the Wentworth Buildings, Car- ! roll Btrcct, on Wednesday morning last, was held to-day before Mr J. E. Bartholomew, S.M. After lengthy evidence had been beard, the Coroner returned a verdict that death was due to asphyxia and shock. An inquest into the circumstances of the death of Mrs Helen Marr Grey, widow, who was drowned at Taicri Mouth yesterday, was held this evening Evidence showed that she had gone to Taieri Mouth with a party for tho day, and had been left with her son and nephew, both aged eight. She was on the rocks jiear the water, when* unnoticed by thenvshQ slipped, the-fall stunning her. When she was found she was in shallow water, and the evidence showed that she had been drowned. A verdict that deceased was accidentally drowned was returned, the Coroner, Mr J. R. Bartholomew,'expressing sympathy with tho relatives, Mrs Grey had sis children, the oldest of whom is 22 : years of age. ,
