ELLESMERE ASSOCIATION. Members of the Loeston ( Southbrldge, and Dunsandel Bowling Clubs and their friends assembled in strong force on Thursday night at the Dunsandel Ha 11,.. whore the annual social of the Ellosmero Bowling Association took place. It is the custom to hold the social in the centre where the president for the time being resides, vyho this year is Mr 0. A. Wright, of Dunsandel. The attendance of visitors was good, and the social was a success in every respect. A euchre tournament took place early in the evening; the first prize winners being 'Miss Dunlop and Mr P. Rapley, and the remainder of the time was occupied in dancing. The president welcomed all in the hall, particularly the representatives of the Leeston and Southbridge Clubs. The past bowling season had been an average one, and most of the competitions had been keenly contested. The Loudon rooster had been won by the Dunsandel Olub, by a margin of one point, in an exciting play-off with Leeston.
The trophies won during the year were presented by tho presidents of the various clubs.
