"At tlio first meeting of • the newly-elected Opawa ' • School Committee the following were present: WcssrH T. W. West (chairman). Coleman, McDowell, Mackey. Brittenden. F. T. Boyce, and VT. Ingley (secretary). The usual sub-committees were appointed, with the chairman and secretary trustees of the No. 2 Fund.. Delegates to the School Committees' Association appointed were Messrs West, Coleman, and Jlacbey. , The roll report (showed 291 bo>3, 172 girls. average attendance 320, accessions during month. 7, left 5.,. The .'.low average was -caused by a mild epidemic.. Nary L'eafuo 'prizes were awarded to: Noll Wilkinson and i Phyllis Ross 1, Slaurico Gorrie 2. Apprecia- ! tion was expressed at the improved heatinj: system now being Installed by the Education Board at the new school.
