A verdict of "Suicide whilst of unsound miiJd" was recorded at an inquest at Sapcote, near Hinckley, on Edward Coles Page, of St. George's avenue, Northampton, secretary of a firm of boot polish manufacturers, and for some years secretary of the Northampton Eugby Football* Club, who was found dead in a motor-car in a field with a bullet wound in the temple. In Page's pockets were two letters. In one he wrote that for three years he had been slowly but surelv going off his head. This' had been brought about by busiuess trouble. He was taking the only wav out. and his oue regret was for the suffering it would cause his wife and kiddies. In the second message he wrote that he was in full possession of his senses, and if he had been given a share in the business, as had been promised, this would not have happened. The coroner, in returning his verdict said the messages proved that the man was insane when they were written.
