HALL BURNED.
FILM CATCHES FIRE. (rnESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GISBORNE, May 3. There was a fire at the country picture show at Te Karaka, on Saturday night, shortly after the interval. The hall in which the pictures were being shown was completely destroyed. A worn-out piece of film caught in the gate of the machine, and when Powell, the operator, went to extinguish the flames another film caught alight, tho fire therafter spreading rapidly. Powell was. slightly burned about the head and hands.
