MEETING OF COUNCIL. The Council of the Canterbury Automobile Association met last night, when there were present: Mr \V. H. Nicholson (chairman), 11. E. Kennett, A. T>. Dobson, 11. C. Hsrley, VT. R. Carey, F. W. Johnston, H. M. Gafrick, J. M. AVilkie, V. Russell, F. D. Sargent, J. Bathgate, Dr. P. S. Foster. It was decided to make » grant of £5 5s to tho funds of the Canterbury Progress League. Twentv-four new members were elected. Mr Garick drew attention to the practice followed by certain motorists of parking their cars outsido the Chamber of Commerce. It was a common thing, he said, to see cars- standing 14 feet or so from thf building, .with the result that it was difficult for cars' coming along Worcester Btreet and turning into. Oxford terrace to get p3st them. Mr Kennett: Under .the new by-laws there will be no parking there at nil. .
