Sir, —I was interested in reading in your issue of this date the tion of the Prime Minister. giving details of the Milner Memorial Scheme; ft seems to be a very noble conception, much after the lines of the splendid gift of Cecil Rhodes to the Imperial cause, and = well worthy of the great Imperialist Lord Milnei- was known to be. But, while I am afraid it will -not derive much immediate financial support from, New Zealand in. the way of direct contributions it might be stimulatingand appeal favourably to some if the, Prim© Minister could give the. as?'
