HEALTH DEPARTMENT VIGILANCE. (PBESS 18S0CU.TI0B TZLZGBJJC.) WELLINGTON, April 27. The Minister for Health states that in view of the presence of smallpox on ships east and west of New Zealand, the Inspector-General of Health will interrupt his projected programme of district visits and remain in Wellington, in readiness for any untoward development, so that he can keep in touch with the various port health officers.
