SUDAN MISSION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The Sudan Mission held its annual meeting last evening. The Rev. W. Bower-Black presided. The annual report stated that* Mr ;J. Priestly had visited South Canterbury in May and Christchurch in June, and had assisted the work greatly, not only by his i splendid addresses, but also by helping -with the collection of funds. The amount collected in Canterbury totalled £255 Is 2d, a - considerable increase over any previous, year's collection. The thanks of• the committee were due to the office-bearers of St..Paul's .Church for the. use of the class-room and church hall, and to the ladiea* auxiliary lor their willing assistance at all times. At the conclusion of the meeting a lantern lecture on "The Heart of the Sudan", was given by Mr D. N. McDiarmid. Officers elected were: President, Rer. W. Bower-Black; vice-presidents, Messrs H. BecVingsale and A. 0. Wells; hon. secretary, Mr C. C. Wilson; hon. treasurer, Mt R. H. Wilson; committee, Mesdames Jenkins, Bromlee, Smith, Holmes, Wickenden, ; Misses : Campball and Evans. Ker. R.
