RICHMOND HILL CLUB. A medal handicap was played on tho club's links on Saturday and was won by F. J. Glackin with a nett scora of 70. Following are the best cards handed in:

CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. At Shirley links on Saturday C. A. Seymour beat H. E. Button, 2 up and 1 to play, in the first round of tho Borthwick Vase competition. This ie the match which was halved ft week ago. In the semi-final E. W. Hasell beat J. Dolph 3 and 2. TUSON CUP MATCH. The playing of the Tuson Cup team match and the Veterans' team match between the Christchurch Golf Club and the Wellington Golf Club, at Wellington, has been again postponed. It is now fixed for Saturday, May Bth. AVONDALE CLUB. A junior handicap match vta« played at Avondale on Saturday, when there was a largo entry. Tho winner was H. de R. Flesher with 94, lesa handicap 18, making a net 76. The runner-up was C. J. Trengrove (103-24—79). Next Saturday the Avondale Club plays the first round of the Scales Cup, a mixed four-ball handicap match. One hundred of the world's leading golf professionals are participating in the "Standard's" £IOOO tournament at Moor Park, Watford, on June 11th and June 12th, when the scoring will be under a novel system of points, on the target principle.
