' ROSEMARY FOR REMEMBRANCE. i Crimson, white, gold, tlie green of the victor's laurel, all the multicolours of Nature blended gloriously in the wreaths that were laid at the door of the Cathedral, and at the Bridge of llemembrance. There were large and imposing wreaths from local bodies and firms in the city, but there were also, and the effect of these was most poignant, little i lusters of violets, daisies, and other liowery, tied up with ribbon, aud bearing legends written in the round hand oi' childhood. There were many in memory of "Dear Dad," aud many were "From Mother." The first wreath to be laid on the racks at the Cathedral was there at midnight on Saturday. After the service in the Barracks, the wreath bearers marched to the Cathedral, where the wreaths were blessed by the lit. Rev.' the Bishop of Christchurch. Amongst others there were wreaths from the following: —President and Couneil of the Canterbury Automobile Association, Canterbury Rugby Union, Y.M.C.A., Canterbury justices of the, Peace Association, Beath atul Co., New Brighton Borough Council, St. Andrew's College, Harbour Light Girls' Club, Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, the staff of Ballantvnes', Ltd., Christchurch Drainage Board, Rieearton Borough Council, Canterbury Cricket Association, Nairn and Co., St. Albans School, Victoria League, Sumner Borough Council and Burgesses, Federal Club, Canterbury Progress League, Christchurch Tramway Board, Christchurch Tramway Employees, W. Strange and Co., R.S.A. Canterbury Branch of the Public Service Association, M. E. McConnell and W. C. Thiele, ex-Members of tho Australian Imperial Forces, Mayor and Councillors of Christchurch, Loyal Orange Institution, Beckenham School, Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Trained Nurses' Association. N.Z. Field Artillery, Canterbury Football Association, Red Cross Society, Canterbury Industrial Association, Richmond Working' Men's Club, Waltham School, Waimairi County Council, Staff N.Z.F.. Lyttelton Harbour Board, employees of T.Armstrong and Co., Heathcote County Council, jS'.Z.T?. Christchurch Group of Toe H, Patients of the Upper Military Sanatorium, Richmond School, Veterans' 'Association.
