HEAVY BOOKINGS AHEAD. (rness association tileghav.) DUNEDIN, April 22. The largest week-day attendance at the Exhibition for a long time past was registered yesterday, when the total reached 25,687, a total which included 600 children who came by special train from Lawrence. This brought the grand attendance up to 2,824,967. The concert last night in the Festival Hall in aid of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders' Band resulted in what was claimed to be a new theatrical record for the Dominion, having regard to the prices of admission, which varied from ten to two shillings. The hall holds about 2500, and it was booked out in advance. The house was worth nearly £BOO, the concert realising £792, providing a gift of over £2O for each of the thirty-nine players. - Seventeen thousand excursionists, excluding 700 Temuka Oddfellows coming to-day, are coming by special trains during the next eight days. On Saturday there are eight special trains coming, including a Christchurch excursion, which will bring 63-50 day trippers.-
