WAIAU COLLIE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. At the sixth annual meeting of the "Waiau Collie Club, held in the Library Hall, the president, Mr W. D. Bar.ks, presided over a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £B6 7s sd, which was considered highly satisfactory, as during the year a shelterehed costing £65 had been erected. The report and balance-sheet were adopted as read. A letter was read from the secretary of tho Canterbury Championship Dog Trials, inviting the club to affiliate with the Canterbury Collie Dog Cluba' Association. After some discussion, it was decided to affiliate. It was resolved that the annual dog trials should be held on June 16th, 17th, and 18th.
The programme was discussed, and it was decided that tho events should be similar to last year's, but that the stakes should be increased from £6O to £76. It was also resolved that a miniature cup should be given with all challenge cups. A strong committee to conduct the trials was set up, with a view to making the meeting n" record success. Several ne«' members were elected.
