BURWOOD GIRLS' ASSOCIATION.
The first of the Burwbod Girls' Friendly Association's winter social evenings was'held on Tuesday, in the Burwood Hall. Thera was a. large attendance of members and associate members, and the Ladies' Guild was present by invitation. Tho following programme was submitted, under the supervision of Miss Tobin:—Dialogue, Misses Aaomi Bowden and Kathleen Weld; charade, the Misses Tobin, Mills, Violet Rowse, Myrtle Kowse. Avis Bradstock, Nellie Walford, Ina Campbell, and Marjorie Campbell; playette, "The Governess," Misses Tobin, Ina Campbell, Violet Bowse. Avis Bradetock, Marjorie Campbell, and Eva Driver; songs, Mrs Bowker and Miss Kimbell; duet. Misses Ina Campbell and Naomi Bowden; games, introduced and supervised by the Misses Butcher. During tho evening the Rev. C. A. Tobin, on behalf of the Girls' Friendly Association, presented Miss Cissio KankiveU with a picture, on her severing her membership after 14 vears. A further presentation was made to Miss Atkinson, who is leaving the district, ,from the Ladies' Guild and the Girls' Friendly. Association. At the clos* of the evening tho girls ciitertained th« visitors at supper.
