Petrie, presiding over a largo attendance. , . ... In his annual report, the vicar said he was extremely pleased and satisfied with the work of the parish during the year. One of the outstanding events had beon tho renovation of the church at great expense, so that it was again one of the most beautiful churches in the diocese. He congratulated the parishioners on their liberality in their contributions to the renovation fund. The other event was the celebration of tho 76th anniversary of the church, an event that would linger long in the memories of those who had taken paTt in the celebration. The anniversary booklet published on that occasion would serve as an authentic record of the history of the church during its first 75 years. Tho progress in the Sunday school had been most gratifying. The average attendance, exclusive of Bible Olasß pupils, had been 196, with ■B2 teachers. Notwithstanding the fact that the year had been' shortened by three months by tho infantile paralysis epidemic, the children's offertories had amounted, to £44, which with special offertories totalled £53. Of this amount, nearly half had been handed over to various missions. The various organisations connected with the church were all flourishing, especially the Mothers' Union and the Girls' Friendly Society. Office-bearers were appointed as follows: Vicar's warden. St, Saviour's Church. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Saviour's Church, West Lyttelton, was held last evening. There was a good attendance. Tho Rev. T. M. Curnow presided. The churchwardens' report stated that the general offertories showed an increase of £16,. and the special offertory was £8 over laßt year. Acting on the suggestions of last year's meeting, all repairs whioh were necessary to the church property had been completed. The debit balance was attributed largely to this work, but on the whole the state of affairs was most satisfactory. The balance-sheet showed that the year commenced with a credit balance of £2O, and conoluded with a debit balance of £l7. Considering the heavy expenditure met during the year in repairs to property, which wonld be non-recurring for some years, the financial position could be considered satisfactory. The churchwardens' report and balancesheet were adopted. The vicar, the Rev. T. M. Onrnow, in his report, stated that there had been an increase in the attendance during the -year, as well as in the number of teachers in the Sunday School. Be acknowledged the good work carried out by the various branches of the church during the year. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Vicar's warden, Mr F. Hobbs; people's warden, Mr H. Derbidge; vestry, Messrs H. J. Oates, T. Wales, J. Newton, N. Newton, J. Fletcher, D. Comer, and B. S. Lawrence; auditor, Mr T. Wales. ,
