LORD STONEHAVEN'S NARROW ESCAPES. (BY CABLIS—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPrRtGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLB ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, April 20. Since Lord Stonehaven arrived in Australia' he has had some varied experiences. First he was concerned in an airplane smash. That he was nearly impaled on the bowsprit of a yacht which collided with his yacht in Sydney harbour. Lastly, ono of the heavy windowsaßhes at Admiralty House fell on his right fore-finger, necessitating its amputation at the first joint. [Lord Stonehaven, G.C.M.G., has been Governor-General of Australia since May, 1925. Formerly in diplomacy, he entered Parliament in 1910 as M.P. for Rugby. He acted as Parliamentary private secretary to the late Mr Bonar Law. He was First Commissioner of Works, from October, 1922, to January, 1924.]
