Jones, is indisposed, and is about to take a short holiday, has doubtless provided material for the rather startling rumour that Mr Jones is resigning soon, and that a ,- reversion from the present system of ' : control of the railways by a Board, i to the general manager system, might j be.expected soon. The rumour is stated I to be without foundation. I
