ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
(press association telbgram.) INVERCARGILL, April 20.. At the Bluff Police Court, before Mr G Cruickshank, S.M., Arthur Calder pleaded guilty, to a charge of attempting to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a razor. Sergeant) Packer said the accusedmade a statement to the police, in which he said he had been, drinking for some time. "When shaving one morning, he found his razor blunt, and decided to cut his throat instead of having a shave. Accused was remanded to remain in the Borstal Institute till April 23rd, when the case will be heard in Invercargill.
