Northern papers gave him credit for landing Magna Chnrta a winner in that event, but unfortunately for Eastwood, he passed tho winning post on foot.

nThe Licensing Committee of the New Zealand Kacing Conference at its meeting, held at Wellington on IGth inst., decided to cancel the jockeys' licenses held by L. M. Manson and B. Rosen. It was also decided to grant B. K. Deeley a three months' conditional jockey's license.
