Messrs Scott Ramsay and McGuinness reported regarding their interview with .Dr.. McKillopi Medical Superintendent of the Sunnyside Mental Hospital, as to the SunnyEide Club playing ofE their ground. Dr. McKillop had stated that hie instructions were that the club could not possibly. play off the ground, except on two or three occasions, of which as much notice as possible would have to be given. The rhief object in playing games was to .keep the patients interest occupied. A vote of thanks was accorded Messrs Scott Ramsay and McGuinness, and the report was referred to the Match Committee for report. The secretary was granted leave of absence to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Football Association in Wellington on the 2Gth inst. The next meeting of the Management Committee was set down for the 28th inst •. Messrs Graham and O'Brien, representing the Nomad? Club, submitted new evidence in support of a request for the reopening of the case-of W. Crookston. who, last year, was supended (or life. °*i the ground of play is tha result of an order frora the captain o.' the team. The representatives again withdrew. After discussion, it was. decided, on lltf motion of Mr Scott Ramfsy, seconded by Mr Keys: ''That there is insufficient evidence to justify the reopening of Crookston's ia3c.''

With reference to the committee's decision regarding transfers, it was decided that it should be interpreted to mean that for the first two Saturdays of the season playerswho had not been transferred be considered rs having played for their new clubs, but must transfer to their new clubs before plaving.on the third Saturday. The Classification Committee recommended thnt the New Brighton Club be allowed to re-classify its fourth to fifth grade, provided all new fifth grade player* signed on are under 16 years of age, aud that all clubs with over-age players in lower grades be given fourteen days to make application for permits for any of these players. Several transfers were approved. The report was agreed to. The Match Committee reported that one senior team had defaulted last Saturday, and another team was defeated by a ridiculous number of goals that did not redound to the credit of the game. Regarding the Sunnyside Club, the committee recommended that it should play home and away matches. The club practically had the pick of the players in Canterbury, and in fairness should leave its grounds on alternate Saturdays. Mr McGuinness said that if the Sunnyside Club was compelled to play home and away matches, the club would withdraw from the competition.
