BOXING.
CASEY BEATS LOVERIDGE. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM:) NEW PLYMOUTH, March 8. The colours of Dick Loveridge, the Taranaki boxer who. hitherto has won every bout he has contested, were lowered by Harry Casey (Australia) to-night They met in a professional fifteen-round welter-weight contest, Casey being awarded the fight at the end of the thirteenth round, when the referee terminated the bout, which at that (stage, as for some ,time before, Loveridge had no chance of winning.
