GRIFFITH'S GREAT PRODUCTION.

"SALLY OF THE SAWDUST." GRAND THEATRE, TO-DAY. In view of the remarkable success of "Sally of the Sawdust," it has been decided to transfer it to tho Grand Theatre, commencing to-day, so that picture-goers may have an opportunity of seeing this fascinating story. Although there ia the. irresistible atmosphere of the circus about it, the ring is never overdone, and we aro enabled to follow the vicissitudes of Sally and Pop in all their glory and sadness. It has that skilful blending of comedy and something more serious that is so .popular with the public, and which only Griffith can give, and when -w© have the compelling artistry of Carol Dempster mingled with the famous burlesque of W,' C\ Fields, brilliant acting can be guaranteed by th» partnership. .It is a most cleverly worked-out story, gracing the lives" of theso two from circus poverty to rightful riches, and there is such an air of realism around the play that at the final fade-out the awakened spectator is somewhat surprised to find himself in a prosaio theatre, and not a glamorous tent or lordly dwelling. The Grand Quality Orchestra, under the supervision of Mr Howard Moody, plays a specially selected programme ol orchestral music.
